Classic Cantonese home cooking, this dish combines meat and vegetable toppings with rice in a clay pot (or tinfoil, for takeout). The result is rice flavored with the juices from the toppings and a bit burnt and crispy on the bottom against the bowl.

It's possible to get clay pot rice as takeout cooked in a tinfoil pot (but it does taste much in a clay pot).
