凍檸茶

凍 is cold, 檸 is short for lemon, (檸檬 nìhng mūng) and 茶 is tea, so 凍檸茶 is cold lemon tea.

Hong Kong-style sweetened ice lemon tea. This drink is a staple of the 茶餐廳 (chàh chāan tēng), inexpensive casual eateries featuring “Canto-Western” cuisine. In fact, ice lemon tea is typically made with Lipton tea. When I worked in Hong Kong, I always ordered this in the company cafeteria and after drinking half of it would mix in a can of Pepsi.
