茶包

茶 is tea, and 包 is bag, (the same bao as in dim sum buns).

Origin Story

The first commercial tea bags (although not the first patented tea bags) were developed over a hundred years ago by Thomas Sullivan, a New York coffee and tea importer. Legend has it that his silk tea bags were only meant for packaging but customers just brewed the whole thing, and eureka, a product was born!
