大紅袍

大 is big, 紅 is red, and 袍 is gown, so 大紅袍 is big red gown. Legend has it that this tea was administered by a monk to an ailing scholar who similarly revived the emporer with the tea and was rewarded with a big red gown (monk got nothing).

da hong pao, the Mandarin pronunciation of this tea, is a traditionally expensive Wuyi oolong tea (but affordable if you buy the ones that aren't from the original da hong pao trees).

Trivia

When Nixon made his famous visit to China, Mao gifted him with a rare and expensive batch of da hong pao. Nixon was insulted by the gift of a a clump of leaves until an official set him straight.
