龜苓膏

龜 is turtle, 苓 is used in, and 膏 is paste or oil, so 龜苓膏 is turtle used in paste.

Offered as a medicine or dessert (a very bitter dessert), this traditionally incorporates a powder made from the bottom of turtle shells (the Chinese name means “turtle paste”), but these days it usually doesn't contain any turtle, so it's often listed in English as “herbal jelly.” (I asked what's in the herbal jelly in the photo, and the answer was “herb.”).
