煎堆

煎 is fried (actually pan-fried, even though sesame balls are usually deep-fried) and 堆 is a heap or pile.

Also known more literally as sesame seed ball 芝麻球 (jī màh kàu in Cantonese) where 芝麻 is sesame seed and 球 is ball.

A common bakery item, deep-fried hollow spheres of glutinous rice coated with sesame seeds, with a filling of lotus seed, black sesame, or red bean paste (made from adzuki beans)). Or sometimes nothing, just hollow.
