琵琶豆腐

琵琶 is the (phonetic) name of a Chinese lute, and 豆腐 is tofu, so 琵琶豆腐 is lute tofu.

Deep-fried oblong balls (shaped like the Chinese lute for which it is named) made of a tofu paste mixed with shrimp and other ingredients, served with a thick gravy.
